Our OT Services

  • Home Modifications

    Our Occupational Therapists are skilled to assess an individual’s access, safety and independence within their home environment, to support recommendations of major or minor home modifications.

    Our OT’s can support with the prescription of: 

    -            Grab rails

    -            Ramps

    -            Minor access modifications: Door widening, platform steps, magnetic door catch, threshold ramps etc

    -            Minor bathroom modifications: Shower platforms, handheld shower hose, shower screen removal, non-slip flooring etc

    -            Major bathroom modifications

    -            Ceiling hoists

    -            Kitchen or laundry modifications

  • Equipment Prescription

    Our Occupational Therapists specialise in assessment, trial and recommendation of assistive technology solutions to increase independence, safety and dignity in individual’s natural environments. 

    Our OT’s can support with the prescription of: 

    -            Beds & mattresses 

    -            Shower commodes

    -            Bathing equipment

    -            Toileting equipment

    -            Hoists & slings 

    -            Disability specific strollers

    -            Booster / car seats

    -            Low-cost aids & devices (i.e. long handled combs, thick handle cutlery, self-tipping kettle etc.)

    -            Access to communication (i.e. switches & mounting)

  • Functional Capacity Assessments

    Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) are a comprehensive, holistic and objective assessment of a person's current functional status. An FCA will assess and identify a person's areas of strength, as well as any areas a person may require support, assistance or assistive technology solutions. 

    FCA reports provide NDIS participants with evidence regarding the type and level of support and funding required to achieve their goals.
