Introducing our new Brain Training Class
Resilient Health Group is excited to introduce an innovative new Brain Training class designed to help older adults stay physically active while supporting cognitive health, balance, confidence and independence.
Developed and delivered by our Accredited Exercise Physiologists, this evidence-informed program combines purposeful movement with engaging cognitive activities that challenge both the body and the mind.
The result is a fun, supportive and practical class that helps participants strengthen the vital connection between brain and body.
As we age, many everyday activities require us to think and move at the same time. Walking while holding a conversation, carrying groceries, navigating busy environments or responding to unexpected situations all rely on our ability to process information while maintaining balance and coordination.
Research has shown that combining physical exercise with cognitive challenges can support healthy brain ageing while improving mobility, reaction time and overall wellbeing.
Unlike traditional exercise classes, Brain Training has been specifically designed to develop both physical and cognitive skills in a safe, welcoming environment.
Each session incorporates activities that challenge memory, attention, concentration, processing speed, problem-solving and dual-tasking, alongside exercises that improve strength, balance, coordination and functional mobility.
No two classes are the same, keeping sessions enjoyable while progressively building confidence and capability. Activities are tailored by our Exercise Physiologists to suit a range of abilities, ensuring participants feel supported while working at a level appropriate for them.
The program is ideal for adults aged 50 years and over who want to remain mentally and physically active, improve balance and stability, reduce their risk of falls or simply enjoy exercising in a friendly, social setting.
It is also suitable for people living with neurological or chronic health conditions who are looking for an enjoyable way to support both their physical and cognitive wellbeing.
Participants can expect benefits including improved memory, concentration, processing speed, balance, coordination, reaction time and confidence with everyday movement.
By strengthening the connection between the brain and body, Brain Training aims to help people maintain their independence and continue enjoying the activities they value most.
"The strongest evidence suggests that combining cognitive training with regular physical activity provides greater benefits for brain health than either approach alone."
(Liu et al., 2026)
One of the features that sets this program apart is the expertise of the team delivering it.
Beyond the physical and cognitive benefits, the classes also provide valuable opportunities for social connection.
Exercising alongside like-minded people creates an encouraging atmosphere where participants can challenge themselves, celebrate their progress and enjoy learning new skills together.
Brain Training is the latest addition to Resilient Health Group's growing range of Exercise Physiology services, reflecting our ongoing commitment to providing evidence-based programs that support lifelong health and wellbeing.
Whether your goal is to sharpen your memory, improve balance, boost confidence or simply try something new, this enjoyable program offers a practical way to invest in your long-term health.
